TP Measurement
The oxidized sample fluid is placed into the TP boiler where it undergoes an acid boiling at 100°C for 6 minutes. This process breaks down the condensed phosphate compounds into reactive phosphates. The hydrolyzed sample is mixed with a TP reagent. This reaction produces a vanadomolybdophosphoric acid complex which is then brought to the TP measuring cell. Here the photometer analyzes the wavelengths applicable to phosphates. The result is displayed as Total Phosphorus (TP).
