BioTector Sampling Systems

 BIOTECTOR SAMPLING SYSTEMS

Due to the nature of industrial online analysis, accessing sampling points is not always straight forward. To assist with this issue BioTector has developed a series of sampling systems, specifically designed to transport samples and present them to the analyzer at atmospheric pressure. Multi-stream options of these sampling systems, for up to six streams are also available.

BIOTECTOR VENTURI SAMPLER Sampling system for analyzers designed for dirty samples

Product overview
• Sample container: PFA
• Sample volume: 75ml
• Sample tubing: PTFE 3/8” OD x   1/4” ID
• Automatic no sample fill fault indication

General Information

The Venturi Driven Sampler was developed specifically for extremely dirty samples experienced in such industries as oil refineries and breweries. This self contained, self-cleaning sampling system can transport samples over a distance of 40 meters, with a maximum vertical lift of 8 meters. Wash back of the system by air and water micro bubbles ensures the sample line is cleaned and dried between cycles, preventing dilution of the next sample. Air blow back also ensures the sample point is kept clear of silt.

BIOTECTOR VACUUM SAMPLER Water sampling system for analyzers.

Product overview
• Sample container: PVC-U
• Sample volume: 400ml
• Pinch valve with EMPP tube
• Main sample line 3/8” OD x 1/4” ID
• Automatic fault indication

 General Information

The operation of the BioTector Vacuum sampler is controlled from the analyzer and is designed to bring samples over a distance of 40 meters with a maximum lift of 6 meters and present a ready to analyze sample to the BioTector. In addition, the Vacuum Sampler can be used as a gravity filtration system, where sand and other hard particles can settle in the sampling chamber before the BioTector takes it’s sample. Once the sample has been taken, the vacuum pump forces the sample back through the sample line.

BIOTECTOR FLOW THROUGH SAMPLE CHAMBER WITH SAND TRAP

Developed for samples containing sand, grit or heavy particulates

General Information

The Flow Through Sample Chamber with Sand Trap is a self-cleaning, simple device which does not require filters or screens and is designed to operate in conjunction with the BioTector sample pump. The BioTector internal sample pump is connected to the Flow Through Chamber's sample head. When this pump runs in the forward direction (i.e. BioTector taking a sample) the sample is allowed to enter the sample head at a low flow rate (typically 0.05 litres per minute). In this low flow condition particulates such as sand and grit drop out in the lower section of the sample head. The upper section of the sample head fills with cleaned liquid which is then taken to the BioTector for analysis.
