BioTector - A revolution in TOC analysis TOC analysis had its humble beginnings in the sterile laboratory environment; where micro-bore injection systems, quick-fit connections, delicate CO2 analyzers and other fragile accoutrements were the order of the day. From that environment, industrial TOC analysis made the gradual migration to online measurement. Unfortunately, the same lab equipment made that migration on its coat-tails. This resulted in online testing systems with fragile, small-scale lab equipment being exposed to some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world. Needless to say, the result was not pretty – high overheads in cleaning, maintenance, replacement of parts – production time lost due to analyzer downtime – poor waste treatment plant performance due to analyzer failure – even fines and brand damage caused by exceeding legal limits. By any definition, as reliable TOC measuring systems, these were a failure. That's where BioTector Analytical Systems with the BioTector range comes in. We identified a gap in the market for robust, large-scale, industry-specific TOC analyzers and set to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry to come up with a truly industrial solution. BioTector, the result of those years of research and innovation, is now proving its worth in the most demanding industrial settings throughout the world. Since launching the TOC analyzer, BioTector Analytical Systems have gone on to develop further analysis modules and configurations, such that the BioTector Series 4 can now be enabled to monitor for:
· TOC – Total Organic Carbon
· TIC – Total Inorganic Carbon
· VOC – Volatile Organic Carbon
· TC – Total Carbon
· COD – Chemical Oxygen Demand
· BOD – Biochemical Oxygen Demand
· TN – Total Nitrogen
· TP – Total Phosphorus
· OXC – Oxalate Carbon
Webinars Hach Company, in association with BioTector Analytical Systems recently hosted a Webinar titled: "Overcoming Challenges in Industrial Water Quality". This event was originally broadcast on 21st June 2010 and is now available for on-demand viewing. To access this archived presentation, please click here. BioTector Certification
